It records the number of seconds, minutes and hours that passed between when data was scheduled to arrive, and when data is submitted to storage after preparation activities have been completed.
Every data upload submitted to your workspace has a preparation time, and these are averaged to create your overall KPI that is shown in the dashboard.
The 'view details' popup on your KPI dashboard displays a breakdown of how data is loaded into your workspace. The loading and error resolution method is the biggest contributing factor to your data preparation time, as it determines the individual responsible for correcting errors. There are four options for data upload:
